Our Impact in the Community

Raising awareness and supporting those affected.

Ever since Pink Ladies was founded in 2001, we have been dedicated to providing support to those affected in The Bailiwick of Guernsey. Whether through practical assistance that offers real, tangible relief or by organising impactful events to raise awareness, we’ve always made it our mission to support the community and stand by those who need it most.

2025 and beyond…

2025 is the beginning of a new era for the Pink Ladies. Evolving with the world we now live in, the behaviors towards general health and self-care, and the increasing numbers of younger people being diagnosed with breast cancer, we have ambitious goals to make a greater impact in our community. Focusing on raising awareness for early detection, as well as offering support in any way we can to those impacted. The funds you have helped raise will be crucial in allowing us to:

  • Activate an island wide awareness campaign. Educating to prevent and protect from an early age.

  • Provide awareness packs to businesses and groups, offering valuable material in order to engage and raise awareness about breast health.

  • Support the regeneration of the new breast clinic as part of the broader hospital redevelopment project.

  • Continue to provide financial, practical, and wellness support to those affected by breast cancer. Working with other local charities as well as look at new ways of supporting those affected.

  • Building on our annual and bi-annual events and fundraising efforts across the year.

  • Creating a programme of events during October Breast Cancer Awareness Month each year,

  • To work with key community stakeholders and influencers to make sure breast health is a priority in all the right places around the island.

By working together, all the above and more, will make a difference to lives within our community. By consistently educating and raising awareness, we aim to not only help detect early, prevent late-stage diagnosis, and support anyone affected through their journey, but also change breast health behavior and get people checking from an earlier age.

Thank you for being part of the Pink Ladies family and helping us continue our mission to change lives for the better.
