  • Call the Breast Clinic on 223730, speak to the Breast Care Nurse, or leave a message if no one can pick up at that time.

  • Guernsey Cancer Support provides an opportunity to spend time with people who share or understand you experience. The meetings are for both cancer patients and anyone affected by a diagnosis. They have two meetings a month, one on the first Thursday of every month starting at 10.30, and the other is an evening event on the third Thursday of each month starting at 7.30pm.   • You’d come to the breast clinic for one of the following reasons:

    • breast screening from 50-75 for your routine mammogram (beyond 75 you can self refer)

    • Symptomatic clinics for people who have concerns. Your GP will refer you.

    • For screening information

  • This is where anyone diagnosed would attend for their cancer treatment.

  • They offer support in improving your health and wellbeing. It’s a free scheme which links over 18’s with sources of non-medical support within the community.

  • Maggies website

    A free support for anyone in Guernsey diagnosed with cancer. They connect cancer care options between Guernsey and Southampton - not just for you but for your loved ones too. Diet, exercise, finances and relationships - Maggie are another great resource that can help you navigate all of this.

  • Run by the Guernsey Youth Commission, Navigators aims to provide resources that enable parents and carers the confidence to talk to their children about their cancer or serious illness and help them support their children’s emotional wellbeing needs.

  • Speak to your school about support they can offer your children during this difficult time. A lot of the states school run support programs with trained staff to help children navigate amplified or new emotions to help recognise them and manage them.
